Kefka is good.
Kefka is good because he tries to help the world and its people. Only Kefka
realizes that the Espers are a threat to society. If the Espers were not drained of their
powers, they would rampage and destroy innocent lives. Kefka is our savior. Kefka is a
god.
Kefka has some friends who also choose to help the world and its people. For example,
there is
Setzer, who has the courtesy to fly Kefka and his pals around the world in his airship.
There
is also Terra, who helps Kefka open the Sealed gate in order to destroy the evil Espers.
Finally, there is Emperor Gestahl, the leader of the good Empire, who wishes to help
fulfill
Kefka's dream by properly disposing of the Espers. However, due to his totally abrupt act
of
disdain toward Kefka on the Floating Island, he must be disposed of.
There are a few individuals who try to stop Kefka from helping the world. For example,
Edgar
and Locke refuse to return Terra, Kefka's friend, to poor Kefka. Edgar and Locke also
oppose
the good Kefka through an evil cult known only as the Returners. This clan of evildoers
fights
against the good Empire, of which Kefka is a major part. Edgar, Locke, and Banon, the
world's
great adversaries, refuse to understand Kefka's good human nature. Celes, Kefka's former
friend, opposes Kefka throughout his godly journey. Instead of remaining with the good
guys in
the Empire, she joins Locke, a member of the Returner clan. Edgar and Celes are also quite
devious, since Celes, uses Edgar's evil double-headed coin to force Setzer to join them.
So,
that double-headed coin is basically the source of all evil.
Those, believe it or not, are not the worst of Kefka's adversaries. The worst of all is
Shadow. Shadow is the one who destroys the world. After Kefka moves the Statues on the
peaceful Floating Island, in order to form the perfect utopia, Shadow intervenes and
pushes
the Statues to crush the godly Kefka and form the World of Ruin. Shadow also forces
Kefka's
friend Setzer to save him when he causes the peaceful Floating Island to erupt.
There are a few more characters that influence Final Fantasy VI: "Kefka's
Domain". Cyan
attacks Kefka's troops when they try to make peace between the Empire and Doma Castle. So,
he
is bad. Sabin joins the Returners, appearing evil. However, before joining the Returner
cult,
he states on the Sabil mountains (likely named after this misguided hero) that he would
like to
help the world. So, while his intentions are pure, his choice of actions is not. Finally
there is Ultros. This pile of octopus scum is so unbelievably stupid! He really does not
influence the plot in any way, and he is the most annoying pest ever to be seen in any
game.
Because of this mangy pile of rotten sludge, all octopi (octopuses) should be banned from
any
future stories.
So remember, everybody, Kefka is a god. Terra and Setzer are his angels. Sabin and Ultros
are
"normal" Earthly creatures. Cyan and Locke are politicians. Edgar and Celes are
car
salespeople waiting on death row. Shadow is the devil. Finally, the double headed coin is
the root of all evil. Kefka is a god.
